Andropause
Andropause in men is a natural process that will be experienced by every man upon his arrival though will vary. The symptoms will arise when a man has decreased the amount of male hormone testosterone and its metabolites which are collectively called androgens. As a group of steroid hormones, sndrogen stimulate the development of masculine characteristics, such as voice changes, shoulder widening and growing a mustache. The entry period of andropause in men is characterized by decreasing levels of testosterone in the body. In general, men will experience andropause symptoms after age 40 to 45 years, but the symptoms will be felt after 50 years of age. Other hormones are also reduced in the male body andropause include: growth hormone, melatonin, dehydroepiandrosterone and pregnenolone.
The symptoms experienced by men who experience this is the body's physiological changes associated with aging. These changes include: decline in libido, decreased frequency of sexual intercourse, erectile dysfunction, decreased fertility, changes in body composition, decrease in head and facial hair, and bone loss occurs. In addition, these men become irritable, confused and depressed.
